Blocks & Boxes Terms of Service

Effective date: October 4, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Cozy Island Games ("we", "us" or "our") that governs your use of the Blocks & Boxes mobile game, including any updates and related services (the "Game"). By tapping "Accept" or by downloading, installing or using the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Game. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Game only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install and use the Game on a device that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the Game or any part of it;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Game, except where applicable law expressly permits this;
• use cheats, automation software, exploits or any unauthorised third-party software to modify or interfere with the Game;
• interfere with, block or circumvent the Game's advertising, security or purchase features;
• use the Game for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

4. In-app purchases

The Game offers an optional one-time purchase, "Remove Ads", which removes banner ads and between-level ads. Optional rewarded video ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for in-game hints, remain available.

• Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store and are subject to their terms and payment policies.
• Prices are shown in the Game before you buy and may vary by region.
• We verify purchases with the store to prevent fraud. A purchase the store reports as invalid, cancelled or refunded is not unlocked.
• You can restore a purchase on a device signed in to the same store account (in the Game: MENU → RESTORE PURCHASES).
• Except where required by law or by the store's refund policy, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Refund requests must be made to Google or Apple.

5. Advertising

The Game is free to play and is supported by advertising. By using the Game, you agree that we and our advertising partners may show you ads. How information is used for advertising is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used and shared when you use the Game. It forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Game, including its software, design, graphics, sounds, text and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the licence in section 2, no rights are granted to you.

8. Third-party services

The Game uses third-party services, such as advertising networks and app stores, that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

9. Updates and availability

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the Game, or any part of it, at any time. Some updates may be required to keep using the Game. We do not guarantee that the Game will always be available or free of errors.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROGRESS, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE GAME. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE GAME WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

12. Termination

These Terms apply until terminated by you or us. You may terminate them at any time by deleting the Game. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you breach these Terms. Sections 4 (refunds), 7, 10, 11, 14 and 15 survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and ask you to accept the updated Terms in the Game. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Game.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live.

15. Apple App Store

If you downloaded the Game from the Apple App Store, you and we acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Game or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the Game, including product liability claims, claims that the Game fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims. If the Game fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
